When an odd white haired gray skinned man, donning a mask appears mysteriously unconscious at a quant little village in the valley of Mig; the villagers take him in. After several days he awakens from his slumber only to demand food instantly. It is obvious after a day or so that this strange man is, just that, strange.

The villagers, being a religious and proud lot, their kindness shows through. The strange man becomes comfortable in the new village home until it is attacked by the marauding city guard, coming to take their rations of Hensksmig, a strange liquid concoction milked the sap giving branches of the super rare Henks tree. The strange man, calling himself Z’d defends his village with insane tactics of manliness and blind luck.

Pulling a pair of farming tools from the shelves he battles off the city guard, only to be met by a strange flying machine the very next day. Z’d meets the flying machine with the same vigor but it sent into a standstill when they release their pet, the giant Mawgurr, a mindless eating machine. The beast cracks Z’d’s mask, which leaves him stunned.

Without really thinking much about it, he grabs villager’s chief’s the ceremonial mask and dons it as his new cover. After several failed attacks on the Mawgurr, the new mask starts to vibrate on Z’d’s face, reacting to his intense fighting experience. With little or no warning Z’d makes a glorious transformation into an avatar of the villager’s great mantid god, Koar.

Calling himself Z’koar, the new beast dispatches Mawgurr after a heated battle. As the city guard’s flying ship crashing into the earth, the lead guardsmen screams something about year of gods. Z’koar regresses back into Z’d with those words on his mind.

He asks’ the chief about the year of the gods; and the answer given drives a quest to discover who or what he is.


Height: 10 Meters
Abilities and Powers:

Channels a strange form of electricity though various parts of his body, which gives him the ability combine this electricity with his physical attacks.

Can summon a massive bolt of lightning into either of his sickle like arms.

His smaller set of arms serve as tiny electrical conductors and allow him to fire tiny eletctro-vulcan blasts in a machine gun like manner. Not terribly strong at all.

Chameleon abilities; though he never uses them to blend in with his surroundings, he does however express his mood with his color. Meaning he can be any color in the rainbow.

Flight; wings are stored in his back ‘fins’ and releases, they too conduct electricity.


So what is Z’koar, he is a mish mosh of Dragon and Mantis. His design started out when I was trying to sketch up an idea for a new Primal Rage fighter. When I came up with the Primal Rage character, I looked at Z’koars old sketches and realized just how much I liked his design and ran with it.

Before anyone says anything, yes his name is a double play on. Jumbled letters from Zorak; put together in a similar fashion as Z-tan, or Zetton.

His name is pronounced Zee-kore.
